Summer Learning Journey | Day 2 | Activity 2 | Up in the Air | One Small step for Man

LI: to write a poem describing how it would've felt to be on the moon.

For this activity, we had to imagine that we were Neil Armstrong and pretend that we were him when he walked upon the moon. We had to create a short poem about what walking on the moon felt like and describe what it was like.

  1. Hi Bella this is Mrs Collins from Manaiakalani and I'll be commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. I really like the poem you created about walking on the moon - would you REALLY like to walk on the moon? I'm not too sure I'd like the journey there... Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!

  2. Hi Bella!,
You have a really interesting poem about the moon. I like how you have a really good layout of your DLO. I also like how you have clearly explained what your activity was for day 2. Would you go to the moon if you had the chance? I would definitely, because I would like to experience it.

    Great Job!

  3. Kia Ora Bella! I can only imagine what it's like to be on the moon, but I'm sure Neil felt amazing knowing he landed safely. Just looking at the poster for your poem is very appealing and fitting. The simple detail makes it lovely to read, and the rhymes just roll off the tongue. This was a fantastic poem!
