Maori | Understanding Numbers
LI: To understand a range of numbers in Maori
In Maori today, with Whaea Odie we learnt how to understand Maori numbers up to a thousand. In partners, we had to challenge each other by trying to understand the numbers in Maori.
We had to say the type of place value house, (like Rau = Hundred) and say a number in Maori (Rau Ono = Six Hundred). The other person in the pair would have to write it down in it's place within the place value house using the numbers from Maori.
