LI: To write similarities about Amelia Earhart and Jean Batten.
This is Day 2 Activity 1 of the Summer Learning Journey. For this task, we had to use a Venn diagram and write three similarities and differences of Amelia Earhart and Jean Batten. Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart were women that flew solo to different countries in the world. Did you know Jean Batten died of an infected caused by a dog bite?

I’m really looking forward to summer, aren't you? In my spare time I like spending time at the beach and hanging out with my friends. I also enjoy going for walks and I absolutely love cooking and baking. What are you looking forward to doing this summer?
Your venn diagram looks great! It's amazing seeing the similarities and differences between these two great, inspiring woman. How awesome is it that Jean Batten was the first person EVER to fly solo from England to New Zealand? How long do you think that would have taken Jean to fly all that distance?
Next time you could add an image of the two different aviators (pilots)? Vintage photos are always fun to look at.
I wonder what it would feel like to fly a plane. If you had the opportunity, would you give it a go?
