In Maths, we have been creating our paper planes. We had to choose our plane designs using the book called 'Ultimate Gigantic Paper Planes'. We would have to remove the paper used for folding out of the book and follow the instructions step by step to complete our plane. The plane I am doing is called 'Turbo Twister'. In my design I only have a maximum of 10 steps.
We have also been learning to do fractions of sets. We started by dividing sets into halves and quarters. We needed to find out the unit fractions for the sets.
Fractions - A fraction is a whole object divided into equal pieces.
Fractions of sets - Fractions of sets is a whole set of objects divided into equal sized groups of objects.
Unit fraction - A unit fraction is when you have one piece of a fraction or the numerator is 1.
How to find a unit fraction of a set - To find the unit fraction of a set I must divide the set by the number of groups.
