Ihumatao
The Fletcher's wanted permission to build housing on Ihumatao land but their request was refused. Ihumatao is ancient and sacred land to Maori ancestry. This has become a big situation and problem worldwide which has included the Government and other important parties. Protesters have been involved with this situation and have been protecting and trying to prevent the Fletcher's building on the land. Jacinda Ardern claims and says that the government has been trying to look for a solution to this.
Our Task
We needed to complete the last slide on the Ihumatao DLO about what we believe and talking about our opinion of the Ihumatao problem. We had to state 3 points to back up our opinion and say of our Ihumatao beliefs. The conclusion had to include a statement/summary to explain and back up what we are saying and stating about the Ihumatao and talking about why people should take the side we chose. (Not a persuasive piece)
