LI: to list 3 things that are important to me.
For this task we had to list 3 things that are very important to us and explain why they are so important to us. Here are the three things that are most important to me:
Family
Family will always support you no matter what. They will never not love you and there is no possible way that they will hate you, even though they say they do. They can support, give advice and help us through things on the way through life. They will always be there for us no matter what.
Friends
Friends are people that will forever love you for you. They will not want you to change and they will love you for how you are now. They will support you and throw positivity your way and make your day a one in a billion!
Health
Health is one of the key things that keep you alive. They include the qualities of all your everyday needs. They help expand your life-span and the healthier you are, the more opportunities! Health includes the healthy food you eat, the kind of drinks you drink, how you care for your hygiene and how you look after yourself.
I am a Year 7 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Mrs Fisi'iahi.

Summer Learning Journey | Day 4 | Activity 2 | Individual Pursuit | What's in a Name?
LI: to recreate our name.
For this task, we had to imagine we had ONE chance to change our name. We had to make up a different name and explain why we chose to change our name to what we had chosen to change it too.
The name I chose to change it to would be Oakleyn. I would choose this name because it is a very unique name. I would also have chosen name because sure, Oak is the name of the most common tree kind but it is the kind of trees that are mostly covering the earth. I also think this name is quite catchy and fits my personality and look.

Summer Learning Journey | Day 4 | Activity 1 | Individual Pursuits | Making a Racket
LI: To give facts about Serena or Venus Williams.
For this task, we had to watch either a YouTube video about Serena Williams or Venus Williams or both and write down 3 facts about one or both of them on our blog. We also had to write down a fact we would STILL want to know. I chose to give facts about Venus Williams. I decided to write more since there were a lot of interesting facts I wanted to share.
Venus Williams
Venus Williams started tennis training at the age of three. In 1999 she won her first major championship for tennis and completed her career Grand Slam in 2003. Venus has won over 49 single titles over her career. Her parents are Richard and Oracene Williams. Thanks to her dad, she has grown fond of tennis. Venus won both Wimbledon and The U.S Open in 2000. She won a lot of gold medals in the Olympics for singles and doubles tennis.

Summer Learning Journey | Day 3 | Activity 3 | Team Players | Achieving our Dreams
LI: To state our dream job and things people could do to help achieve our dream.
In this task, we had to think about what our dream job is and who we think would be best to help us achieve this dream. We also had to write down and think about what exactly it is they would do to help and what actions they could do to help us achieve this. We had to create a poster or info graphic telling the information to the questions below:
1. What is your dream job?
2. Who do you think is best to help you achieve this?
3. What could that person/people do to help you achieve your dream?
Summer Learning Journey | Day 3 | Activity 2 | Team Players | Defying the Odds
LI: To ask 5 question towards a basketball player.
For this task, We had to write 5 questions for a basketball player of our choice. For this activity we need to explain 5 questions for either basketball players, Steve Adams, LeBron James or another player of our own choosing. I chose Kevin Wayne Durant who is an American Basketball player that plays the role of Power Forward and Small Forward.
Summer Learning Journey | Day 3 | Activity 1 | Team Players| Rugby Superstars
LI: To list powers 3 powers you want and explain why you want them.
For this task, we needed to show/tell three powers that we would want if we could choose. After we thought of super-powers, we had to explain why we wanted to have those powers and what those powers do. The powers I chose were precognition, omnipotence and manifestation. I would like to possess this power in order to see any dangers that may occur to me or any other person or people.
I would have precognition to use it to see Earth’s future and then try prevent any dangers towards it. I would have omnipotence I would create my own planet. I could be able to hold the universe in my hands. I would fly to the ends of the universe and finally find spaces end. I would have manifestation to be able to be able to create an imaginary friend or to bring anything from my imagination to life. I would also create a UFO and an alien friend and fly to space. I would rearrange the stars to make a new star signs and constellations.

Summer Learning Journey | Day 2 | Activity 3 | Up in the air | Miracle on Hudson
LI: to recount when you or somebody you know has done something brave.
For this task, we have to explain and recount a time that we or somebody we know has been brave or has done something brave, like overcoming a major fear or finally doing something for the first time.
Last term, we were learning about plays, production and theatre. We were in groups for this. Each group was given their own play to learn. We had to know the script, the actions and the movement to the play and try produce a fully understandable play using the script. We had one week to finish practising and acting our plays then we would preform our plays in front of the rest of the acting groups.
We did our acting inside the class and we had no script to read off. Once it was my groups turn, we all stood up and got into our places. The story-line was how a bunch of lazy superheroes argue about who saves the world on lazy Sunday. A monster is about to dominate the world and all the superheroes can do is argue. The monster is finally free and destroys the city. I played as the monster. I had to act evil, rough and mischievous.
I entered the stage, trying to make myself look as big as I could. My heart was pounding and in front of an audience, I was shaking. I had to stomp onto the ground and wave my arms around like a crazed octopus! When it was my turn to get off the stage, I walked nervously and embarrassed away from the audience.
I found that this was a brave experience because I have deep stage fright and I can easily forget something which in this case would possibly have been the script. With having a lot of the attention on me was frightening and nerve-racking.
Thanks to Mr Ogilvie for allowing us to try over-come our stage fright and giving us the opportunity to take part in group plays and theatre. Over this, we have learnt about theatrical acting and performance.
