Kiwican | Resilience | Self Control | Self Discipline

LI: to develop self control & self discipline

Resilience means to commit to your challenges and bouncing back. Self control means to take control and responsibility of yourself and the things you do.

We were learning about what situations we can use resilience and self control and what would happen if we didn't control and take responsibility of our actions. As always, Kiwi can provides a game which links to the theme and/or topic. That game we played was; Coping challenges.

Activity - Coping challenges
There were 4 different challenges and 4 different groups and we had to complete each challenge in one minute. The challenges were: Writing the alphabet backwards from Z, Linking Maori and English colours, Using the catchphrase to make new actions and 5x Push ups, 5x Pull ups, 5x Squats and 5x Burpees.

This activity was hard because we had little time to complete medium-to-large tasks. We got through these challenges by working as a team and attempting to complete it.

We used resilience in this game by trying and coping to do these challenges and when we made mistakes we tried again.

Catchphrase- "Kiwi Can says, Control yourself, don't shout, Kiwican, Over and out"

Theme- Resilience

Topic- Self Control & Self Discipline
