Mantis shrimp

MANTIS SHRIMP PUNCH
A Mantis shrimp kills its prey by punching it to death.

The mantis shrimps punch is also the
fastest punch in the world. The Mantis-Shrimp has three things that help it punch. The Club,
Latch and Spring. The club clings to the latch, so when the mantis is ready to punch it’s pray it
releases itself so that the spring pushes forwards making the club kill the prey.

 After that the
mantis shrimp’s uses it’s muscles to pull the club back and clings onto the latch once more,
so the spring closes up and it’s able to eat the prey.
