Maths | Capacity | Calculation | Measurement
LI: To measure and work out different capacities.
Capacity is how much something can hold. For example, I have a cup of water. The capacity is how much water the cup can hold. The cups capacity is 160 Millilitres.
This week, we were focusing on calculating capacity. We had to use the DLO/template given by Mr Wong and we had to measure 8 different containers to see the capacity of them. The 8 objects were; A glass cup, a plastic cup, a bottle cap, A detergent spoon, Cleaner Alcohol, Pills container and a small lunch container.
Afterwards we (as a group) had to answer 6 questions for 3 different maths problems. Those 6 questions were:
1. What does the problem want you to figure out?
2. What do you already know?
3. To solve the problem what do you need on step (or more)?
4. What was the maths operation?
5. What was the initial and agent number?
6. Write a number sentence and solve the given question.
Hi Bella. I like the way you did your work and that you have put in your question for people to answer and that when i read your learning intention you put all the right info about what you have done.Keep up the good work.
